Meetings
Parish Council Meetings are normally held at 7.30 pm on a Thursday of every other month at Moreton Say Village Hall.
The Parish Council also holds Extraordinary Meetings to consider urgent items or planning applications when the time stipulated for response to Shropshire Council (31 days) does not allow them to be held over to the next Council meeting.
Agendas for all meetings are published on the website at least 3 days before the meeting and the draft minutes from the meetings are published within 30 days of the meeting.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Parish Council meeting with the agendas always including an item near the beginning of the meeting for members of the public to address the Council for 10 minutes.
The Parish Council scheduled Ordinary Meeting dates for 2023:
January 12th, March 30th, May 25th - incorporating the Annual Meeting of Moreton Say Parish Council and starting at the earlier time of 7.00 pm, July 20th, September 21st and November 23rd ( All Thursdays)
The Annual Meeting of Moreton Say Parish Council
At this meeting, held on the same evening as the May Parish Council meeting, the Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected for the coming year and the Parish Council representatives on outside bodies and groups are confirmed.
The Annual Parish Meeting
The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of the Parish Electorate. It is not a Parish Council meeting although the Council will organise it. It is the opportunity for the whole community to meet and discuss local issues in 2023 the Annual Parish Meeting will be 25th May starting at 7.00 pm.
